I have found one table with model codes of 6gen celicas, there is also key (for 6gen Celicas) how read this:
example my car: AT200L-BLMSKW AT200L-BLMSKW A = "A" engine (7AFE) S = "S" engine (3SGE, 3SGE, 3SFE, 5SFE) AT200L-BLMSKW T = ? (maybe some "Group code" but always letter "T") AT200L-BLMSKW 20 = 6th generation AT200L-BLMSKW 0 = Euro/US 1.8 2 = SS-I/SS-II/SS-III/Euro 2.0 3 = SS-I FWS 4 = US/Aus/Can 2.2 5 = JDM/Euro/Aus GT-four AT200L-BLMSKW non-JDM L = LHD R = RHD JDM (always RHD) C = convertible (empty place) = liftback AT200L-BLMSKW B = ? (maybe "Celica" but always letter "B") AT200L-BLMSKW L = liftback C = coupe K = convertible AT200L-BLMSKW M = MTM P = ATM AT200L-BLMSKW non-JDM S = ST G = GT JDM (empty place) AT200L-BLMSKW KW = Euro 1.8 FW = Euro 2.0/Euro CV 2.0 ZW = Euro GT-four GK = SS-I VF = SS-II/JDM CV ZF = SS-III VZ = JDM GT-four KA = all USDM KK = all Canadian KQ = all Australian ( Now... can someone (more the better) here post your model code plus info like: 2.2, GT-S, coupe, Canada or 2.2, SX, hatchback, Australia? You know I just want solve one big mystery for me... I belive someone of you with GTs will find code like this: ST204L-BLPSKA => for me is that "ST" celica with 5SFE engine???... How is that possible? EDIT: If anyone don't know where find "model number" post first 9 characters from jour VIN code. example = JT164ATL0, or JT2AN00L, or JT2ST07F... from this I can decode model number too... thanks. EDIT II: Thanks saleeka, your response match perfectly (according to data from EPC I have)... QUOTE(saleeka @ Nov 28, 2006 - 9:02 PM) The reason as to why you think that there are 2.2 5S-FE ST's in our market is because after the sales year 97 in the US, Toyota stripped the model lineup of model grade names completely, and ALL Celicas were then 5S-FE powered (and there were no GT coupes in 97). However, the interior trims of the old ST and GT still could be had (you had to have certain options in the car to get the "GT" grade seats and door trim). Also, many people don't realize that even though Toyota still put the GT badges on cars made after 97, not once will you see Toyota refer to any of the models as GT's. This is partialy why things get confusing... This post has been edited by malpaso: Dec 18, 2006 - 2:53 AM -------------------- No more replicas... This is evolution... This is SS-four :)

QUOTE(saleeka @ Nov 28, 2006 - 8:12 PM) Third, you have no codes for liftbacks produced in model year 1999, and i'm also very sure that they exist... Mine. My VIN: JT2DG0279X..... Things I know for sure I have: -USDM -2.2 5S-FE -Sports Suspension -Sunroof -Liftback -Leather seats, dash, door panels, upgrade arm rest -TRD Quickshifter (but I have the receipt where the only other owner bought it with the car as an add-on) -Machine finish rims (sold but was equipped) -sideskirts and redesigned front bumper and spoiler Things I know I didn't get: -Strut Tower Braces [not even front like my '95GT had stock] Turbo and AWD [Obviously but just for the record - man we got screwed here in NA] I also have a car club that has had many 6th gens over the last 2-3years and this is what I have noticed: GT - Always 2.2L 5S-FE Coupe or Liftback ST - Always 1.8L 7A-FE Coupe or Liftback Nothing - Always 1.8L 7A-FE [or debadged] with almost no options and many times spoilerless unless it is a 25th anny. edition. Verts - Always 2.2L 5S-FE Coupe Hope this helps. Can you confirm the above? This post has been edited by Negative: Nov 29, 2006 - 12:17 PM -------------------- ![]() |
