I'm surprised no one has said anything about this yet. but in the new january 07 issue of Modified Mag there is a short article in the back (pg. 160) where a reader writes in to the magazine and they right a response. Basically the guy says he just bought a black 96 ST 25th-anniversary celica, has had it for a week and put on a "custom intake built out of injen parts," a custom 2 1/4 exhaust w/ a magnaflow high-flow cat and a borla muffler, and some Enkei 16x7 P10's w/ BFGoodrich G-force sports. basically he says he loves the car but is having trouble finding mods for it. The response he got was that if he wanted power he would need a 4AGZE or 3SGTE. then they refer him to www.celispeed.com. then, at the end they give a little closing note where they say that they think that the 6gc is the best-looking late-model Celica, but that the lack of an aftermarket has "kept us admiring them from afar."
anyway, just thought I'd point this out. I don't think it's worth buying the magazine for this little 3 paragraph article, but I thought it was pretty cool. and hey, maybe some big manufacturers will see this and realize they need to start making more parts for 6th gens! QUOTE(WH95TE @ Dec 29, 2006 - 11:24 PM) we can only hope actually, i like the fact that it goes largely unnoticed by the tuner world. it makes it more unique on the road, especially when you see one that is modded. -------------------- I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. |
