I want to get lowering springs for my '94 GT with about a 2 inch drop, what are some good springs to get and how much can I expect to pay? I don't really care about increased performance or ride comfort, what I want to know about is safety and if they will throw off my allignment, camber, etc. I'd rather not get coilovers because they cost more and like I said, I don't really care about increased performance or ride comfort. Also, is it possible to install them myself? if not, how much to get it done at a shop? I would really appreciate any input you can contribute. Thanks

I just did mines today. I didn't replace the Struts or anything so I'm running aftermarket springs (TEIN Lowering Springs) on stock struts. But still, it took me and my uncle about 3 hours the most. If you have a air wrench drill, it saves you ALOT of trouble. It was me and my uncle's first time so I think we did a good job. My car makes a weird ass sound now everytime my car gets a bit bumpy but I don't think it's the springs cuz they aren't loose nor wrong. Im very picky about stuff put onto my car so I made sure everything was installed right and secure. But I think my hatch is loose? I don't know what it is. But me and my uncle couldn't take out the rear lsway bar inkages that is attached to the strut mounts. And ended up tearing the boot of one of them. I hope that isn't the problem. Those things were rusty and is a pain in the butt to get out. But yeah, it depends on your skill level. It isn't that hard. Just gotta take off the tires, and unbolt the 2 large strut bolts off the axle. Another hassle is compressing the springs. The two fronts we didn't have to. But the two rears (which are the longer springs) are a pain. But yeah, good luck with your installation. And take your time. It'll be worth it.
