I want to get lowering springs for my '94 GT with about a 2 inch drop, what are some good springs to get and how much can I expect to pay? I don't really care about increased performance or ride comfort, what I want to know about is safety and if they will throw off my allignment, camber, etc. I'd rather not get coilovers because they cost more and like I said, I don't really care about increased performance or ride comfort. Also, is it possible to install them myself? if not, how much to get it done at a shop? I would really appreciate any input you can contribute. Thanks

if your looking for a 2 inch drop, i suggest you get your alignment adjusted afterwards. i went with a 1 inch drop, and i am happy with it. the drop is noticable and i will later be filling the gap with a set of 225-50 tires (imo a bigger tire size is a better way to fill the gap than to drop siginificantly). there comes a point where it just becomes impractical if its a daily driver. as for installing them, i did them myself. wasnt too difficult. didnt use a spring compressor, just had my brother help. only problem i had were the nuts on the rear struts, those things were tight as hell and i split a socket. also the rear sway bolt has caused problems for some because the hex wrench strips it. i didnt have a problem though.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.
