i dont know if its just my imagination, but it seems like my celica's paint is really dulling. i see everyone else's pix and the paint still looks nice (ie. shines) after 7+ ish years. so, does anyone know if its normal for the paint to dull? and how many of you have had paint jobs, and if so how much did it cost you? thanx. peace.

When I got my car in 2001, the paint was only faded inside the water spots which were all over the car from the previous owner not taking care of the car. In the clear spots, the paint was fine. I think my teal color was a metallic color, so it may have had a clear coat.
In October 2002, my car was keyed all the way down the side and on the back. In November of 2002, I got hooked up and had my car painted spa yellow pearl, which is a beautiful color. I gave the shop owner $1,000 insurance money from my car getting keyed, and then I built him a $6-700 computer to use for his shop, and he painted my car for me. The paint job is awesome too, and I am incredibly happy with it. By the way, what kind of polish do you use Ray? I want to do that to my car soon so that it continues to shine. Moved to a more appropriate forum. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
