I plan on replacing my heater core this sat and was wondering where i should start when i start taking off the dash???

what else do i need to take off? i assume glove box, inst. cluster, climate cont., ect but what elseneeds to be taken off that may not be so obvious?

Disconnect the negative battery terminal, first and foremost. Work slowly and keep the fasteners you remove well organized, and lay out a piece of cardboard or a box to set all your panels on.

I'd start by removing the stereo and climate control surrounds, vents, knee panels/center console, steering wheel surrounds and gauge cluster like BloodyStupidDavey mentioned. From there you should be able to see what you have to do.
