Ok so I have seen this a few times before, where people have modified the position of the oil filter so it is easier to access and ultimately easier to change.
My questions are these: 1. What are the benefits of relocating the oil filter (other than accessability)? 2. What all is involved in relocating the oil filter? What steps need to be taken? Supplies/Tools? Thanks for your time. Cheers. -Triscuit -------------------- 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STi 1974 Datsun 260Z 1997 Subaru Legacy L Wagon Kind of missin' my Celica GT! I was also thinking of the same questions. Its a pain to get them things out at times when the oil filter just doesnt want to come out and tools are hard to get to them.
I was also thinking of connecting it to a oil cooler before it goes back into the motor. would that be safe? i've seen a fin like wrap-around that suppose to act as an oil cooler that you wrap around the filter. thats how i got the idea. The motor would look better if steel braided lines were used for the relocation kit. -------------------- Chris Malaqui
