QUOTE(Blakout16 @ Jan 20, 2007 - 8:59 AM) however, if you've swapped a jdm 7afe/4afe - it will also read a 71 in engine codes. but im sure this isnt your case. Well well the plot thickens! Cleaned up my egr tube and valve and this afternoon, during the swap I discovered the difference between a JDM motor and a US motor! Viola! no port for EGT gases to flow thru. So I do have a JDM 7AFE(bought off ebay for cheap) although not advertized as such. Maybe it's time for Paypal Protection to step in and refund some cash. I'm glad GA isn't too stingent on emission testing. I ended up leaving the current EGT tube and valve installed and moved the EGT probe up against the head for some all inportant heat to see if the MIL light will illuminate again. I'll post results. I'm thinking maybe tap into the heater hose for a heat source for the probe. |
