the reason i suggest a prebuilt computer is because, he is managing to use a pci video card system till this day. Meaning performance is not really a huge factor.
The only time i would build a computer is if i want a gaming/ over clocking machines. For basic websurfer/word processor, its hard to build a computer the same price as the prebuilt ones. You can even upgrade the videocard+ memory. So there is no real disadvantage to prebuilt. For the average websurfer, prebuilt system are the way to go.. you get a warrenty and all the software with the computer. |
