Well lets see here I'm the only person that has had a 3sgte front clip in his garage for the last year now. My first son was born. Now that my girl is back to normal and my son is healthy. And I don't have crazy doctor bills any longer. I can finaly get back to swap. Lets here I have the engine out of the front clip. So thats done now. I need a transmission I don't want to use the GT tranny, I don't want it craping out on me after a few good 1/4mile races. I got the alltrac frontclip when I should have just got the MR2 I was worried about prices stupid me. Well now I want the MR2 E-153 transmission, but I seen them with and without LSD what's the difference? What should I look for when I buy a transmission?
I've also been thinking about installing the JDM gauge cluster the one from the front clip. Is that something possible? or will the wiring be to hard? Also my 3sgte block has been in the garage for over a year. Do you think it's wise to take it apart to make sure it's not damaged. The ECU and things have been outside too, I know there isn't going to be any water damage but is there anything I should look for, To see if it's damaged? |

I wouldn't pay a dollar more than $700 for an E153 with LSD, and that better be low mileage and in damn good shape for that price. I've seen them go for less on eBay if you've been looking.
Here is one that work good for you, it's not LSD though it is from a front wheel drive car so you won't need to worry about switching the shift linkage around and swapping the cable mounts: http://www.mr2oc.com/showthread.php?t=228086 -------------------- ![]() Project ST204.5 99.88946% complete... |
