Okay, I've been posting on these forums looking into putting a turbo in my car, but then I started to realize that almost everytime someone puts a turbo in a 5sfe, they end up swapping anyway. So, money isn't an issue (to an extent), and I just want to know if I should just skip that and do a swap instead. I won't be doing it myself because I actually want my car to WORK afterwards, so my experience won't be a problem. I just want to know where I would get an engine, which type, how much, other tips and pointers, maybe (and I really think I should) change my auto to a manual. The car I have is listed to the left, so if any other info is needed, just let me know.

Well I'm pretty good mechanically, but I just have no experience with engines. How long would that take and would it be a good idea without any real engine experience?

ill put it to you this way. after your swap is done, your going to have some bugs to work out. this happens on everyones swap, regardless of who did it. if you did the work yourself, you'll learn everything you need to know about the car and be able to diagnose and fix future problems. if you paid someone to do the work for you, you'll be totally clueless and stressed out because your car stopped running and you don't know why. when in reality, a simple vac hose just needs to be reconnected to fix the issue (or something like that).
