Hmm....its kinda hard to guess what the problem is if i cant actually see it in person. I would go to the manual that came with your Alpine and look under a troubleshooting section....I know my Panasonic manual says that if you dont get sound to check your wiring, the ground....just basically double checking your work to make sure that you got it right.
So thats what i'd do if i were you- just double check all the wiring, make sure its all joined tightly and make sure your ground cable is secure. Im not quite sure what you did about grouding the stereo but you shouldnt have any problems with having to ground stuff to the car cuz theres a ground wire in the wiring harness itself. Also, im assuming that your reason for replacing your stereo had nothing to do with the fact that you blew your factory amps, right?? Cuz you need them to power the speakers, thus the sets of RCA jacks....they send signals to your stock amps. .....And of course check all the stupid little things that you might not have thought of like the volume....source...mute, possibly?? Lemme know whatcha find, bro. -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |
