ok my batt light came on and i looked under the hood to see the 3 wires that come out of a plug on the alternator have broke off , right at the back of the plug , so i need a new plug with some wire on the back so i can wire it in , any ideas where i could get this kindasad.gif

i just had the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago.

you dont need a new plug. you can take apart the old one, take out the pins and solder new wire to them. its not too hard once you figure out how to unlock the pins inside.

yeah but my plug broke so it does not want to stay in and keeps hitting my down pipe from my turbo when it pops out kindasad.gif when i get the new one i just might try this so i dont have to splice in any wires wink.gif

FYI the 3 wire plug is the same for STs, GTs and other toyotas from the same time frame. its all about what gen alternator they use.

i know but in my junk yards all they have is fords chevys, and gms laugh.gif , the one had a 88 camry but it had a differant set up rolleyes.gif
