OK, so I get my 21st Century insurance bill yesterday, and my premium increased from $604 six months ago to $1,854 for the next six months. I had an accident eight months ago and I expected my rates to go up a little but come on! Other than that I have a clean record with no tickets or anything. Do you guys think this is at all reasonable? because IMO there is no justification for this much of an increase. I will be calling these ######## a little later today, hopefully I can get the price to come down. If not, then I think it will be time to find another insurance company. |

QUOTE(celicamike @ Feb 9, 2007 - 11:50 AM) OK, so I get my 21st Century insurance bill yesterday, and my premium increased from $604 six months ago to $1,854 for the next six months. I had an accident eight months ago and I expected my rates to go up a little but come on! Other than that I have a clean record with no tickets or anything. Ok guys, he is talking about LIABILITY insurance here, not FULL coverage. Yes, this ridiculously high for liability insurance. Considering you had one accident (hopefully not a big one) shouldn't have that big of an impact. Have them explain it to you and if they don't have a RATIONAL explaination, then dump them. You are gonna have to cancel your policy with them and just look for someone else he is able to give you a premium of 600-700 every six months. Even WITH FULL COVERAGE, remember guys, our cars are 10+ years old. The car has very little value to the money world. If you see a 94 6gc selling for $6000 and decide to get a personal loan from the bank, they will deny you right off the bat becuz the car is 10+ years older and they think that car will not serve any "money" to them if there were any reason to take it off your hands. Same as insurance companies who in which will probably take it anyways and donate it to someone who will sell it. In conclusion guys, your insurances shouldn't be that high. If it is, I suggest you guys go shop around for a better policy and premium. -------------------- |
