i was reading just now an old thread on toyotanation(i think) and some one said u could get the st185 clip for the motor only or u could get the mr2 clip that comes with the transmission.....could u use an mr2 clip for a swap into a celi? the tranny too? that way u wouldnt have to buy a new tranny if u have an st right?

yes you can use a mr2 engine in the celica. As far as getting the LSD its a little more convient to buy the MR2 clip, that way you dont have to search around trying to find it. I started a thread about this not to long ago, try searching. Iam not sure but i believe you may have to mismatch mounts.

so you are saying that a 3rd gen sw20 clip would be just as useful for a swap as a 3rd gen st205 clip? not to doubt or anything, but can anyone else confirm this? why i started this thread is because i can easily find a 3rd gen 3sgte mr2 clip, but i am struggling to find a 3rd gen 3s celica (st205) clip. would the difficulty be the same in swapping or would it be harder?
