Hey,
I know the 3sgte engine usually is put in a car that has the gt-4 hood and bumper cause it needs the increased airflow or whatever. I was thinking of getting the VIS carbon fiber hood that charlie97 is getting set up for us. If I put a vent in the front stock bumper, and cut a couple more holes in the carbon fiber hood, is there any way this could go with the 3sgte engine. This would save a decent amount of the $$$ that doing the conversion would cost. Any ideas? -------------------- ![]() psalm 69 |

the GT-FOUR hood is not for air induction. so even w/ this hood, and the TMIC from the 2nd gen, the IC would heatsoak. the 3rd gen 3sgte (that comes in the ST-205 GT-FOUR) has a top mount air/water ic. basically, there is a 2nd radiator in the mouth, which cools liquids, which cools the top mount intercooler. all of the vents in the GT-FOUR hood are meant for heat dispersion. so even if you get the GT-FOUR hood and the 2nd gen 3sgte, you will need to move the IC to the front mouth.
