Well yeah, was in CostCo today and they had an advertisment saying "We take tire safety to the next level with....NITROGEN Tire Inflation!" I read the flyer everything seems lagit, question that comes to mind tho is it worth it? Is it actually better than filling you tire with air? How much should it be?
Thanks -------------------- |

Thanks i got my tires filled with nitrogen for free, someone i know works at a car dealership. he was saying the nitrogen doesn't exspand like air does, and your tires will stay inflated longer. -------------------- |

It is air...because the atmosphere is 72 percent nitrogen. Unlike air it is pure nitrogen, so it doesnt have smaller oxygen molecules. Basically...nitrogen molecules are larger and they diffuse through the tire wall slower than oxygen and the other trace gases, letting your tires stay inflated longer. Is it worth the extra price? Not really since air is free.
