3rd Gen 3SGE from a 96' Celica SS-II

I dont want to hijack this tread but im auto and im canadian. I wanted to swap a 3sgte and do a manual conversion but now im not sure at all because of all the headaches for the tranny swap....
do you guys think that engine would be a good investment (performance/money wise) and also what other parts would I need to install this into my car (im already auto btw) this is if you finally decide to sell the engine
