My mechanic today just told me if I wanted to convert my celica to a 3sgte all-trac it would cost about $2,700 dollars. Thats right thats including 4wd transmission and labor. He said it would cost the same for a Beams conversion or any conversion I wanted for the Celica. I knew him for a long time, I just didn't know how much he charged for stuff like that. Hes done everything from Honda swaps, Nissan, to Toyota swaps. He's super cheap and super cool too. He only charges about 500 for labor, thats a good deal. He takes care of everything for that price...wiring, removal of engine, dropping it in, putting on the tranny, and if you wanted to add ANYTHING since he's doing that kind of work, like clutch, flywheel, cams, you name it, its part of the deal. He'll even tune it to how you like or want it to be and guess what...thats part of the deal. What do you guys think of that? He's making me think about it now. How much do your mechanics charge and the quality of work.
