Just wonder about the chrome brand cai systems on ebay, with the K&N air filter. Is this just as good as say injen or AEM? Anyone have experience with it?
Also, I know about the accord cai mod, is there another cai especially made for the 6gen celica that doesn't require moving and altering things like the fuse box? Is there any difference beteen manual and auto trasmission to consider when getting an intake? Thanks guys and gals |

I bought a chrome intake off ebay and it worked just fine. It was also a + that it came with the hole pre-drilled for the air sensor. I ended up replacing it though because the filter sat too low in the car and so when i drove through puddles it would make the engine choke alittle bit. But if you dont have problems with rain, its great. Its also pretty good fit and finish. When compared with ingen or some other brand, its all a matter of personal preference really. Basically anything that gets the air to engine more effectively and colder than stock is going to be a good thing. So for price, i would say go for it.
As far as i know, the accord is the only other full CAI that will work with the celi. There is no difference in CAI's if you have a manual or auto because the piping doesnt really go anywhere close to the transmission housing. Just my 2 cents, I hope this helps -Trey -------------------- ![]() |
