QUOTE(easternpiro1 @ Mar 17, 2007 - 1:02 PM) whats up guys, im getting ready to go to the track tomorrow. any suggestions? waterbox tips? launch suggestions? just curious what i will run been wondering for a while. wish me luck! if your running street tires, go around the waterbox. if anything just spin them once around to kick the dirt and rocks off them. just lower your air pressure in the fronts, crank up the rears, launch soft, and hit it hard!!! (you'll just spin the tires if you really rev it before launch...you'll have to find the sweet spot for your own car.) GOOD LUCK!! -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

just give them a little spin to clean them
run about 26-30psi in your front tires biggest tip is learn how to slip the clutch out off a launch hard to teach via a post but, i'd probably say some where between 2k and 2,500 rpm hold at the light then slip the clutch out while giving it gas....abuses the clutch some but if you can do it right, you'll end up full boosting maintaining traction and getting good 60' times... just remember a drag race is won and lost on the launch concentrate on getting them down really good and lowering your 60' times as much as possible...a realistic goal for your 60' foot times are like 2.2 to 2.3 seconds |
