LOL jeff was a good bit off....
.4 seconds faster is a good amount of car lengths + mph...that takes a good bit more to get to from 13.9 This post has been edited by playr158: Mar 21, 2007 - 7:49 PM |

QUOTE(playr158 @ Mar 21, 2007 - 8:48 PM) LOL jeff was a good bit off.... .4 seconds faster is a good amount of car lengths + mph...that takes a good bit more to get to from 13.9 Well Dan. Since you like to speak so much for me. If you look above at that time slip it states a trap speed of 102 MPH. I have trapped in my car 104 MPH while still running in the 14's. What you are to narrow minded to realize is that I ran my car at Island Dragway. With cheap tires and at only 12 psi. Island dragway is a little hole in the wall track with no major sponsors. The Staging area in a mess, ruts, holes, uneven pavment. Not to mention they spray that track with VHT one time a year. We run there because we dont have to wait for 3,000 other cars to run. The times at this track are much slower than if we would run at englishtown. I'm dieing to get some runs there. Without a doubt I'd hit 13's everytime on street tires. But time and other responsibilities are holding me back from running there. I am setting aside time this year to run there. If I can get my new tires it will be on street tires, if not then the slicks will come out. Anyone that has actually ran at Island can chime in here on the conditions of the staging area. To sum up, a number of different factors come into play when looking at a time slip. We will never take off as well as a RWD car. But we certainly can run in the 13's with our setups. With out any doubt in my mind. Dan you may have driven a swapped celi a couple of times, wait till you own one. Please don't mention my name in your discussion. I can speak for myself. Thanks -------------------- I will return one day. |
