Would it be louder if i get two 600wrms 12" subs, or one big 15" 1000wrms sub... They'll be run at 2ohms...
Im thinking Audiobahn for the 12"s, and Kicker for the big 15"... Ive already got two 600.1 JBL amps (580wrms @ 2ohms), but am waiting for feedback before I go and get my sub or subs... |

Two amps to power one 15? I am guessing it is a DVC. While in theory you can do this, it wouldn't be recommended. Any difference in the signals is going to adversely affect the sound.
While rumor has it that bandpass boxes can sound good (I've never heard one I've liked), prefabbed bandpass boxes are efficient and normally tuned to be boomy - which sounds like it would suit your desires. It sounds like you should go with the 2x12's in a bandpass box. That can be a simple solution - you can walk into any Best Buy or Circuit City and get a bandpass box with subs as a one shot deal. Just buy, dump in car, and hook up wires. In fact, if your amps and wires are ready to go, they may let you pop it in your car to demo it before you buy. -------------------- The poster is not bound by any accuracy, stated or implied, of the previous post.
