I got a buddy of mine whos in an automotive product design program here at the school and he has to deisgn an aftermarket performance style suspension component. He was first thinking of doing a set of sway bar end links like the ones that twosrus makes, but i brought up the idea of controll arms and strut rods for our cars. Hes thinking about it, but what he is thinking of doing is making them out of either chromolly or higher grade steel. For the strut rods hes gonna b using polyurethane bushings, and for the controll arms, hes either gonna be using poly urethane bushing and instead of having the adjustment for the controll arms half way through the arm, its gonna b a single adjustment at the nuckel end.
If he decided to go with this idea hes gonna b building maybe 2-3 sets. Would any one be interested in upgrading their rear suspension??? NOTE: This isnt 100% forsure yet, hes still gotta make up his mind about it and get an idea of how much its gonna cost. |

QUOTE(fanboy95 @ Mar 31, 2007 - 8:31 AM) what kind of difference would it make? A little bit stiffer and more clearance around your exhaust..mainly so you can do an under suspension exhaust instead of having it to snake up and over. QUOTE(Rayme @ Mar 31, 2007 - 11:08 AM) you might want to tell him the rear arms uses spherical bearings, not just bushings Yea i noticed that on friday when i took my wheel bearing appart. I already told him Hes still not 100% sure about if hes gonna make em yet or not. We only got 2 and a half weeks left of school..so hes gonna have to knock them out pretty quickly. |
