 Blacked out signals |

So I saw an eclipse today who flat blacked his tail lights, signals, etc. I don't think the light will get through the flat black paint well enough, but has anybody tried that tint stuff on them?

do they have red paint too, i have seen all red tails before. or is that just tint film? i think on my car id like red more.
