Ok so I just put a MBC on my car last night. No matter how far up I crank it, I wont boost over 5 psi. I spliced into the turbo pressure vaccum hose (between the turbo and the wastegate), ran that to the INLET of the mbc. Then ran the OUT on the mbc to the wastegate. I then pinched off the vaccum hose that is on the other side of the wastegate. I believe it goes to the factory boost controller. What am I doing wrong?
I know I have to disable the tvsv. Can anyone confirm if its the blue connector under the intake? Thanks This post has been edited by toyotacrazy: Apr 4, 2007 - 6:22 PM |

Jeff, if the MBC is working right and hooked up right you can still boost above 5 PSI in safe mode.
With the TVSV bypassed and a block on lower pressure going to the WG, it won't open until the higher pressure bypasses the BC. When you say how far up, you mean how far in you turn the bolt, right? Turning the bolt "up" will not raise boost. It will only open the passage further. -------------------- ![]() |
