So I saw an eclipse today who flat blacked his tail lights, signals, etc. I don't think the light will get through the flat black paint well enough, but has anybody tried that tint stuff on them?

sorry it took a couple days...i used nite-shades...the stuff in the purple can. i got it off ebay too.
![]() the two most important things for painting the tail lights are cleaning thoroughly before applying anything and clearcoating afterwards. i use rubbing alcohol to clean off plastic parts before painting. you'll probably also want to tape off the sides and back of the light buckets so you don't get paint on them. i blacked out my third brake light, it's kind of a pain to get out. you have to remove the panel at the bottom of the hatch and unbolt it from the inside. it looks pretty good (i haven't gotten a picture of it yet, tho). good luck, and any other questions...just ask! -------------------- ![]() do you know who i am, mr. worley? |
