Ok so I just put a MBC on my car last night. No matter how far up I crank it, I wont boost over 5 psi. I spliced into the turbo pressure vaccum hose (between the turbo and the wastegate), ran that to the INLET of the mbc. Then ran the OUT on the mbc to the wastegate. I then pinched off the vaccum hose that is on the other side of the wastegate. I believe it goes to the factory boost controller. What am I doing wrong?
I know I have to disable the tvsv. Can anyone confirm if its the blue connector under the intake? Thanks This post has been edited by toyotacrazy: Apr 4, 2007 - 6:22 PM |

Do you have an air compressor or a bike pump? Remove the MBC from the car and connect the inlet of the MBC to the pump and outlet to a hose and stuck the hose in a glass of water. Let air in the MBC start from low pressure first. Once the MBC opens, you should see air/bubble coming out. If air/bubble comes out right away (at tightest setting, adjusting screw is all the way in), the MBC is bad and will not hold the pressure.
