when i am at a light and have my foot on the brake. my engine idles at about 500 rpm then goes to about 800 up and down constantly till i go. i think there is a vacuum leak. there any way to test just the tubes? or do i need to use the vacumm test on all the vacuum lines? anyone else have that issue on the 5sfe.

my 7afes idle is very sensitive to the plugs being all gapped evenly. is the vibration rhythmic? if it is then check the gaps across all 4 plugs and make sure theyre evenly gapped.

I never thought to check the gaps. I didn't think that would make that much of a difference if they were noticably off. I'm checking this tomorrow just to make sure it's running as close to perfect as possible.

when one or more gap is larger/smaller than the others i get a rhythmic vibration from the engine when its at hot curb idle or in gear idle. i can usually tell how many plugs i need to regap and even guess the side of the engine from how it vibrates laugh.gif but thats just me.
