In my searching about this pump, I read some reviews of it about the sound it makes. I would really appreciate it if someone could take a video of the noise. I need to buy a fuel pump, and Supra TT flows a little too much I believe. Please post info about the noise, videos, opinions etc. Before we start talking about Supra TT vs Walbro, lets get some info out on the noise it makes.
Now...it seems as though you could put stereo insulation, or some sound deadening over it to cover it up, and make it disappear? Here is an example of noise: QUOTE(lagos @ Mar 10, 2006 - 2:01 PM) A lot of people report mixed reviews of the walbros noise. Some don’t mind it, some say it drives them crazy. a lot of it will have to do with, how you install it, if you just happen to get a pump thats louder, and how loud your exhaust is to cover up the sound. the best way i can describe the sound is... eeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE More comments here: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...2&hl=Walbro This post has been edited by snapshotgt: Apr 26, 2007 - 12:18 AM -------------------- Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJ

QUOTE Now...it seems as though you could put stereo insulation, or some sound deadening over it to cover it up, and make it disappear? no you cant. it goes in your fuel tank along with your fuel. you shouldnt be putting anything like that in there. if you want a quiet pump, then buy the oem supra one. it wont flow too much, because your fuel pressure regulator keeps things in check, regardless of what pump you are using. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

Do you know where this "sleeve" could be purchased? Wonder if anyone here has tried it... -------------------- Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJ
