I just installed my Fidanza aluminum flywheel for my 5SFE, and I notice that my idle RPM is slightly higher than 800 (where it was before). Has anyone experiened this? If so, what did you do? Thanks

I have a fidanza flywheel too and my idle is normal, well, it's normal in that it idles around 750 most of the time. when first starting the car on a cold day it can idle at like 1100 for a couple minutes but that has nothing to do with the flywheel. I think you just need to get your car to normal operating temperature (and I think that when the radiator fans are on the idle is a little higher too)

as for the benefits of one: the stock flywheel weighs a ton, so putting on a lightweight one takes stress off the crank and allows your car to accellerate faster.
