I just bought my daughter a 97 Celica ST Limited Edition. Im trying to pin point a noise that I get when going above 40 mph but very prominent at 70. I get a thumping type noise that sound like a tire that was rotated and cupped but the tires (though needing to be replaced due to not much tread left) seem to be evenly worn. Could this be a wheel bearing. Im more use to a bearing making a roaring type noise.

Im having the same problem. My Front wheel on the drivers side Squeeks really bad when I drive. Does that sound like a wheel bearing problem?
