great thread!!! thanks for bringing it back to life.
Here is MY window on the world. although it has no outside view I can reach out to anywhere using the Web, Newswire services, phone and e-mail. We broadcast every weekday morning from 6-9. think of it as NPR with a soul.  Here is the view from my production office. It gives on to the HALIFAX CITADEL in beautiful downtown Halifax, NS. Home of the TRAILEPARK BOYS and the largest Titanic cemetary in North America. This is the South-West corner of the Citadel. The actual city core is just to the right of the photo. Not much but hey, it's home!!!!!  it's a 3 panel mosaic Photoshopped into a panorama and covers about 100 degrees field of view.
