i installed a gsm alarm recently but i couldnt arm it or disarm it from a distance further than 1m away from the antenna, but once the engine started i can lock and unlock the door from a far distance...and also once the alarm triggered i can shut it off from far as well...i dont really know whats going on here....i guess it's interference with the factory alarm and iam thinking of removing it..on a RHD it is a gray box located underneath the steering wheel?... i thought thats the central locking cpu...any help pinpoint the location would be great... smile.gif

the ones in australia are either under the passenger seat, or sitting on top of the ecu

the ecu is behind the center console on the floor. pull back the carpet on the lefthand side of the centerconsole (under the glove box) and you'll see it there. the ecu is the shiny metal box on the bottom and the alarm sits on top of that.
