pluged up my HKS SSQ today ..... so anxious to hear some noise ..... but then realized that @ 0 vaccum ... where boost begins to build ... it stays @ 0 vac. but then u hear it go through the BOV. Can anyone give me some advice as which line to use for the BOV , on a 2nd Gen 3SGTE.

with an AFM nothing. all that is for is for boost cut and the stock boost gauge we don't have.

yeah thats what i mean. its pretty much used for fuel cut and thats about it.

jeff that pics looks familiar tongue.gif

mine is in that exact state at the moment...lol

Correct me if Im wrong, but say....you tee into the boost pressure sensor line and one of the hoses blow off. Wouldnt the fuel cut be eliminated. Thus unlimited boost. I know its rare circumstances. But I just dont want to take any chances. Plus it always seems that toyota does things for a reason and I dont realize why until its too late. (like not teeing anything into this line) Learning the hard way. biggrin.gif Maybe Im just paranoid.

no. not at all. your waste gate and boost controller are what controls your boost. the map sensor (on the 2nd gen) is just there as a backup to cut fuel. if you disconnect it, your boost level wont change. in fact a lot of people disconnect the map sensor vac line or install an fcd to run more then the 12psi allowed by the map. using a tee on that line wont do any harm.
