She's done. I decided to start a new thread instead of bringing the old one back from the dead. I got as far as finishing the sideskirts and rear extensions before my dad decided to lease out the warehouse so I had no where to work. I did get a great deal though on having the work finished. I tried to take a couple pictures tonight but my camera battery died. Here's what I got though. Don't mind the bug splatters and the dust, she needs a good cleaning after driving 300 miles over the past 24 hours.
The front. I had the ss-III front extensions split and molded on as two pieces on each side. I thought it would look a lot better. This picture sucks, but I was right, it looks bad ass . Here's a shot showing part of the Hiro rear extensions molded on and the sideskirt. She's beautiful, it almost brings a tear to my eye. I'll have some more pictures posted tomorrow, I just had to show off a bit tonight . QUOTE(Negative @ May 1, 2007 - 11:29 AM) Beautiful job man. So you ended up doing all the body work and prep work, got a few things painted and then your dad kicked you out of the garage? That black is liquid man. Very nice. 1 thing - tire shine - you need it now with that ultra black paint job. What do you mean your splitters are cut? Oh and you need a new sig now. I got the sides, rear, and hail damage fixed myself then got booted out of the garage and had a shop do the fronts, prep and paint. The ss-iii splitters up front are cut and the front parts are molded to the bumper and the rear pieces are molded to the body. I wanted the fronts molded since the rears and sides are and that was the only way to do it so that I could still remove my front bumper. You can see it in the first picture I have posted. I'm a little iffy on tire shine though. I've tried a few different ones and they always seemed to run and put black streaks on the rims. Dustin - I second the question from DS, do you have problems with them? -------------------- We shall show mercy, but we shall not ask for it. |

Great idea if you are into the molded look. Nice work. I can't see how that would hurt anything tho. About the tire shine - I put on the gel type and it doesn't run at all and lasts for a lot longer. But if it does run you can just wipe it off once and it shouldn't run again. Maybe you were just using too much. Really tho - you do need it. Now the tires are the only thing that doesn't look brand new on the car. Just gotta put an extra 5 mins worth of work into that area and you will have the cleanest vert on the site for sure. Props anyway you go man. BTW - are your tails tinted or are the older ones just like that? It looks great. They are not curren tails are they?
