i have been searching the past couple of days for a performance transmission for my 94 celica st and so far i have found two. One site didnt list the price and the other had one for about $3500. my question is this, is there a tranny out there that will bolt up to my 7a-fe that can withstand at least 200hp short of buying an outragious performance trans? and if not how much can my tranny take? is there a cheaper performance trans that i havent found? also will a performance clutch and flywheel help drop revs faster so i dont grind gears speed shifting?

im planning on rebuilding the engine with 4a-ge hypereutectic pistons and unknown forged rods, high volume oil pump, ported and polished heads and garret turbo kit... but will need a transaxle that will stand up to 10 psi.

well, i found a company called Import Performance Transmissions that rebuild manual transaxles, but i have called them three times and i emailed them two days ago and nobody will respond! im getting pissed, i also called most of the transmission specialists in my area and they said "oh yeah, if you get the stuff just bring it in and we will rebuild it". assholes, if i had the performance crap i would rebuild it myself. god this is frustrating. i did decide to call the dealer in my area and see if they remembered me, but they didnt so i asked them if they had any idea who could help or if there was a transaxle listed for another car that would bolt up to my engine but he just said "I dont know, ya might aughta check on the internet". do you guys see where im comin from yet?

But i am determined to find what i need. By the way the reason that i keep this thread alive and i keep fighting to find a cheaper alternative is so you guys out there can find the info here, where its safe, instead of out there.
