Here is the picture of my car after having a slow crash into stopped traffic.

I think I am going to fix this up.

I had the insurance guys check and the radiator is not leaking and they told me it was driveable as is, which was what I thought. When I had the accident I was with my wife, so I just pulled it off to side without checking too much, but it didn't overheat or anything, and we just got a rental and drove back to Minnesota.

I think all I need is the front bumper, air bags, hood, windshield, and driver high beam.

They have radiator support, bumper absorber, hood latch, etc. costs in the estimate as well, and it is a bit difficult for me to figure out if I need those as well.

I have been looking to buy hood, air bags, and light from some people here on the board.

The car is in Austin, Tx, and I am way up in Minnesota. My plan is to just have a windshield installed, fly down to Tx, and drive it back as it is and fix it up here.

It has 52K on a swapped motor installed last year and 116K on the chasis.

I see where some people have posted on cars in much worse shape from an accident that it would take only about $1000 to fix. That is what I am thinking as well.

I suppose if someone wants to make an offer to me on this car, it would save me the time to go down, pick it up and fix it. I would be interested.

Also, if I got a CF hood for it, would that need to be painted or are they good as they are? I am trying to decide which would look better if I fix it up, an OEM or CF.

Here is a list of what has been done on the car and some extra pictures.

Sorry for the caps. This is the listing from the original owner, and he had the description all in caps, that I am not going to retype!

YOU ARE LOOKING AT MY 1995 CELICA GT CONVERTIBLE. THIS HAS BEEN A PROJECT THAT I HAVE HAD FOR THE LAST YEAR OR SO. I REPLACED THE MOTOR, BECAUSE IT SLUNG A ROD AT 115093 MILES AND I THEN ORDERED A JDM 2.2 MOTOR WITH ONLY 52K MILES ON IT. I HAD IT PROFESSIONALLY SWAPED OUT AT A1 TOYOTA HERE IN SAN ANTONIO TX. THE MOTOR IS STILL UNDER WARRENTY, WHEN THEY PUT THE NEW MOTOR IN I HAD THEM REPLACE THE OLD MOTOR MOUNTS, ALL BELTS, RADIATOR, AC COMPRESSOR, FLUSH THE AC LINES AND CHARGE ALL LINES AS WELL, I ALSO HAD THEM INSTALL A NEW COMPLETE CLUTCH KIT-WHICH HAS A LIFETIME WARRENTY, AND ALSO HAD THEM INSTALL THE AEM COLD AIR INTAKE. ONCE I GOT IT HOME I JUST KEPT ADDING TO IT, I ADDED GLOW GAUGES-BLUE, AND BLUE GREEN-GLOW GAUGES, CARBON FIBER BEZEL, SILVER CARBON FIBER DASH KIT, SILVER CARBON FIBER OBX FAT BOY SHIFTER, SILVER CARBON FIBER SHIFT BOOT, R1 RACING SPORT PEDALS, APEXI CARBON FIBER EXHAUST, ALUMINUM FLOOR MATS, KENWOOD DETACHABLE FACE CD PLAYER WITH REMOTE, NEW BRAKES, NEW 18 INCH CHROME WHEELS, NEW 18 MICHELIN CHAMPIRO TIRES-TIRES AND RIMS ARE BRAND NEW- NO CURB RASH OR ANY SCRATCHES WHAT-SO-EVER. I JUST HAD THE CAR PAINTED BLACK AS IF YOU KNOW TOYOTAS THE PAINT FADES FAST AND SIMPLY NEEDED IT WITH ALL I HAD ALREADY INVESTED IN IT. I HAD THEM PUT TWO COATS OF HIGH DOLLAR CLEARS SO THIS CAR SHINES BEAUTIFUL. THE TOP IS LIKE NEW AS I HAD IT REPLACED LESS THAN A YEAR AGO, AND IT DOES HAVE THE GLASS BACK WITH THE REAR DEFROST. I THEN ADDED THE CLEAR SIDE PARKING LIGHTS WHICH REALLY MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE ON THIS PARTICULAR BODY STYLE. I DO HAVE THE ORIGINAL ALLOY TOYOTA RIMS, WITH TIRES, ORIGINAL FACTORY STEREO, ORIGINAL FACTORY BLACK CLOTH FLOOR MATS WHICH I WILL INCLUDE UPON REQUEST, I ALSO BOUGHT A SET OF LIKE NEW LEATHER REAR SEATS, BUT STILL COULD'T FIND THE FRONT LEATHER BUCKETS, I WILL INCLUDE THE LEATHER BACK SEATS. THIS CELICA HAS GRAY AND BLACK CLOTH SEATS WHICH ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, AND DON'T NEED REPLACING, BUT IF YOU WANT TO OPT OUT FOR LEATHER LIKE I SAID I AM INCLUDING THE BACK SEATS SO YOU ARE ALREADY HALF WAY THERE.

This is a 5sp and Block was looking for an automatic. Anyone else interested, or else I will be driving it up in a couple of weeks and working on it myself. Just checking. Thanks.
