I bought a 90-93 accord intake like a couple people suggested on another post and i got it today....wasnt really what i was expecting..i thought it was 2 pipes but mine came in 1...so i took everything out of the box..they gave me the pipe the filter and all the clamps i needed...took out the old box..cut the pipe to fit..n these are the results:

I tried to make the cut in a spot that would make the S-shaped piece roughly uniform on either end. The 3-4 inches i took off was on the straight end where the filter would connect to. I found that the coupler at the cut doesn't line up perfectly straight, but I think that's just because of the angle of the tubing. But it's not a radical bend or anything and the coupler hides it.
I used a drum sanding bit to smooth out the pipe as best I could plus some fine sand paper. I found most of the bends had slight ridges in the inner piping and I also smoothed the edges after I made my cuts. I'm pretty sure my piping was 2.5 inches as well because it was a good fit through the hole into the fender and was easy to work with, but not loose enough to bang around. Also, be careful working with the pipe. It marks up very easily. -------------------- ![]() |
