One major problem with putting in a 7th gen 1ZZ or 2ZZ engine in a 6th gen is the weight. The ZZ engines don't have enough torque. The 6th gen Celica is heavier than the 7th gen. You are better off going with the 3S-GE engine if you want to go n/a. These numbers are rough est. Hope this helps.

1986 - 1989
Engine: 3S-GE
Horse Power: 135@6000
Torque: 125@4800
Displacement: 2.0L
Bore & Stroke: 3.39 x 3.39
Compression Ratio: 9.2

1990 - 1995
Engine: 3S-GE
Horse Power: 156@6600
Torque: 137@4800

1996 - 1998
Engine: 3S-GE
Horse Power: 180@7000
Torque: 142@4800

1999 - Present
Engine: 3S-GE VVT-I Added
Horse Power: 200@7000
Torque: 152@6000
