hey guys. i was just wondering what kinda metal filers to get. the tutorial doesnt specify, only specifies the grit on sanding papers. also any store like home depot or something woul dhave these available right?

anything that is rough will work.

go to a river and pick up some of those rock and start grinding away at the curb rashes. And then finish up with the sandpaper mentioned in the how-to.

But on a serious note, the importance of using the exact files are not that essential. Having the correct ones will make the job go quicker. But the results will be the same whether or not you have 2 dollar filers vs 100 dollar filers.

You basically need a real aggressive file if you have DEEEP gouges in the rim. But if its only a minor scratch, you can skip the fileing all together and go directly to the sand paper. No two curb rashes are the same. Therefore it would be pointless to point out the part numbers for every individual file used.

But i do recomend using a file that is designed to work on metal. Using a filer designed for wood on the rim would be a bad idea.
