hey guys. i was just wondering what kinda metal filers to get. the tutorial doesnt specify, only specifies the grit on sanding papers. also any store like home depot or something woul dhave these available right?

yep, get metal files. you should have at least a flat bastard (yes, that's what it's called) and a flat 2nd cut. those two should handle most of the gouges that are safe to address.
i highly recommend using a flap wheel in a drill for the bulk of the sanding. you can find them with the rest of the abrasives at your local hardware store, they're available in several sizes and styles and are pretty reasonably priced...considering how much faster and easier they make sanding complex shapes (like aluminum wheels). looks like this: ![]() lets you do this: ![]() the flat bastard file, about 10" x 1" ![]() hope that helps some. -------------------- ![]() do you know who i am, mr. worley? |
