I've heard that upgrading the camshaft of the 5sfe is a tradeoff in less low end torque and idling problems. Has anyone upgraded their camshafts in their 5sfe? If so, .. details?fact?faults? thanks in advance..

I think the MAIN problem with cams for the 5SFE is not that they cannot make power... of course they can... but you'll be handicapped by the lack of adjustable cam timing. That's not even mentioning the *NEED* to build the bottom end to rev a bit (bigger cams = more revs needed for power) nor the lack of tuneability on the stock ECU (no... a piggyback isn't quite enough in most cases)...
