 Help me please. Need new Tranny, c52-c56 |

I've done a few searches on the forums and am not satisfied with the results. What are the main differences between the c52 and the c56 transmissions?
I know that they are interchangeable and was told by a few shops that they would be the same price. I am purchasing a newly rebuilt tranny because after having mine rebuilt last year by a local shop i have encountered more problems yet again with my transmission and find that it would be more cost effective to replace the whole unit. Would you happen to know what the final drive of the c56 is? i'm pretty sure that the c52's is 3.72. If it is a little bit shorter that couldn't be too much of a problem.
