So i am planing to put in a 3S-GTE into my 97 Vert , i did some research and everyone says that it is favourible to put reinforcment to the chasis and the unibody and stuff in order for it to handle the new found power ! , on a convertble which already have reinforcments in order to make up for the loos of a complete body ( NO TOP! LOL ) , so can it handle the power ??

You don't want the stock a/a top mount intercooler that came with the second gen 3sgte in the 5th Gen alltrac (ST185). It really needs a scoop to be effective and even then is not made for more than stock boost. However, I concur with you that a FMIC has its draw backs in the looks department if you are trying to stay sleeper like I was. What I did was paint mine black and it basically disappeared. The other option is to buy a w/a intercooler that came with the 6th gen GT4 (ST205). It is much better for intercooling than the previous A/A topmount.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
