 Fading mirrors and door handles |

I've seen this especially on red celis. The door handles and mirrors fade to a very attractive pink... although it matches the center of my rims,
 I absolutely can't stand it. Is there a option other than getting them sprayed? Has anybody ever tried just clearing over them? How about black spray paint?

Sorry for bringing this back up, but how do you get the mirrors off/handles off?
That looks sweet jaws, what is that on your third brake light? |
