ok i thought my speakers were ****ed up cuz it was making the static noise and wen i pump'd up the volume it was soft....then i bought speakers today and tried to install it... i put everything in and then i turnd on my cd player and it was still the same thing. y? i need help u guyz. thank you!

it might be the CD player, if not check the mounting of the speakers, it has to be sturdy, very sturdy. then check the wiring (soldering is worth it) just make sure to check the wires that run to the speaker itself and the wires that run off the back of the CD player itself.

I have a big feeling its the CD player though, try getting a really cheap one and putting it in, then see if you have the same problem. If its the same with the cheap unit then it is speaker wires or mounting.
