hey my friend is having problems with his car. he replaced the thermostat and when he starts his car and starats driving around...the engine temperature rises really fast. he has no leaks in the radiator. any ideas??

Is the coolant level low after it overheats? Even if there is no visible leak, you can still lose coolant through the head gasket. If the coolant level is fine, it could be the water pump. A busted water pump could cause overheating even with plenty of coolant.
