i'm shopping for a sportbike now guys, for a summer ride. Something in a 600cc - preferably an older model (affordable) ... i dont mind the bike being carb'd, just as long as it has relatively low miles and has been taken care of. Any brand/model recomendations - i really like the looks of a Ninja zx-6 w/ the ram air...maybe a CBR ... R6 ? any personal opinions? maybe you know some1 that has a nice bike for sale? help me out here P.S. - my budget is around 3k give or take a couple hundred bucks

lets just go for common sense here
the SLOWER your first bike is the BETTER off you are. you will learn the various aspects of the bike and still have a lot of fun. you DO NOT need anything larger than a 600...anything bigger is stupid start on a Ninja 250...its a very easily findable very affordable first bike MANY MANY riders have started on one. accept the fact you WILL drop your bike, you WILL mess up the fairings and body so don't start with anything flashy or try and be biker boys. CBR f4i is another good starter bike, i mainly suggest the f4i as opposed to the older F1,f2,f3 bikes. I started one of my good friends on a 2000 CBR F4i and he loves the bike. |
