ok i thought my speakers were ****ed up cuz it was making the static noise and wen i pump'd up the volume it was soft....then i bought speakers today and tried to install it... i put everything in and then i turnd on my cd player and it was still the same thing. y? i need help u guyz. thank you!

Make sure the speaker wires go from the unit to the speaker like redline suggested. It could be running through the factory amplifier causing these problems. Also if the speaker wire is frayed or cut it could touch metal and ground itself. You could try pulling out the head unit and a speaker and connecting them with a short peice of wire you know is good. If it does play correctly it's likely a wiring issue.
